Pulaski, PA - Joyce A. Stevens, 71, formerly of Lowellville, died early Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Hospice House in Poland.
Mrs. Stevens was born April 4, 1943 in Butler, PA, a daughter of Carl and Catherine Denny Gray. When Joyce was a toddler, her mother passed away and she was raised by her stepmother, Alice Gray.
Joyce was raised in Butler and attended Butler High School. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed playing cards, bird watching, going to the casino, and watching game shows.
Her husband, Richard E. Stevens, whom she married June 9, 1964, died February 18, 1995. She is survived by her five sons, Richard (Barbara) Stevens of Youngstown, Carl Stevens of Pulaski, PA, Eugene (Jamie) Stevens of Boardman, James (Cindy) Stevens of New Castle, PA, and Robert (Gwen) Stevens of Lowellville; siblings, Betty Baptiste, Chirty Ann Kemper, and William (Audrey) McLaughlin, all of Butler, PA; two sisters-in-law, Carol Lee Morris of Newell, PA and Irene McLaughlin of Butler, PA; 20 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Mulneix, Donald, Robert, James, and John "Pump" McLaughlin.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
