Joyce Eloise Jenkins

Joyce Eloise Jenkins, 94, formerly of Poland, died Wednesday morning, November 15, 2017 at Parkside Health Care Center.
Joyce was born March 23, 1923 in Graham, TN, a daughter of the late George and Kate Weems Plunkett, and came to Youngstown as a young child.
She was a 1942 graduate of Liberty High School. Mrs. Jenkins worked as in the pricing department of LTV Steel for over 33 years, retiring in 1979.
Mrs. Jenkins was a lifelong member of the Boardman Baptist Church, where she was active in the Ladies Missionary Fellowship, member of the choir, and church organist.
Her husband, John R. Jenkins, whom she married in 1965, preceded her in death on March 12, 1968. She is survived by her step-daughter, Patricia Gaines of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her four brothers, McCloy, Ray, and Charles Plunkett and Tom Thomas; sister, Ruth Paulin; and step-daughter, Carol Bott.
There will be no calling hours or services. Interment will take place at Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine.
