Joyce Yvonne (Dilla) Catanzarite

Joyce Yvonne (Dilla) Catanzarite, 64 Struthers- Joyce Yvonne (Dilla) Catanzarite, 64, of State Street, died peacefully Monday evening at her daughterâa�a��s residence after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Mrs. Catanzarite was born June 2, 1940 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Leroy and Mary Bartley Sullivan. She was raised in Youngstown and lived in Struthers for the past 20 years. A 1958 graduate of South High School, Mrs. Catanzarite was a waitress for the Struthers Fraternal Order of Eagle and then a cashier for the Dollar General on South Ave. She retired in 2002. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #213, VFW Post #3538, Sons of Italy, and St. Anthonyâa�a��s, all of Struthers. Her husband Dominic Catanzarite whom she married February 16, 1990 died April 7, 1994. She leaves two sons, David and Darrell Dilla, both of Struthers; one daughter, Donna Dilla also of Struthers; two grandsons, Sean (Dorrie) Dilla and David Dilla all of Struthers; one great-grandson, Sean Dilla of Struthers and her best friend, Sally Fiormonti of New Middletown. Besides her parents and husband, one son, Dennis A. Dilla preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family request memorial tributes go to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
