Struthers - Josephine Skarbinsky, 79, of Struthers, died Sunday morning, September 12, 2010 at the Hospice House.
Mrs. Skarbinsky was born May 3, 1931 in Lowellville, a daughter of Emidio and Mary Perrotta Piccotti.
She was a graduate of Lowellville High School. For many years, Mrs. Skarbinsky worked at Tamco in the packing and shipping department.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville and its Women's Club.
Her husband, Ludwig Skarbinsky, whom she married July 23, 1960, died July 2, 1982. She is survived by her sister, Gloria Strayer of Columbus; two nephews, Jerry Strayer and Steve Strayer, both of Columbus; niece, Mary Jo Strayer, also of Columbus; cousin, Sandra Perrotta of Harrisburg, PA; dear friends, Julie and Steve Biskup of Girard and Stephanie Centofante of Poland; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Charles Strayer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Charles Poore officiating.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the church, prior to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville.
