Josephine M. Rotz

Lowellville - Josephine M. Rotz, 95, of Lowellville, died Friday, June 22, 2007 in Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mrs. Rotz was born July 24, 1911 in Hillsville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of John and Nicoletti Lagnese Donofrio. She was raised in Hillsville and moved to Lowellville in 1928. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, the ladies group of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and Lowellville Senior Citizens Group. Her husband, Lawrence M. Rotz, whom she married September 7, 1928, died July 12, 1994. She leaves two daughters, Betty (Walter) Dunevant of Conyers, GA and Janet Davanzo of Youngstown; one sister, Eleanor (Tommy) Micco of Hillsville; three brothers, Tony (Lucy) Donofrio of Lowellville, John (Nettie) Donofrio, and Bill (Marie) Donofrio all of New Castle; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Rotz was preceded in death by four brothers, Sammy, Patsy, Joey, and Frank Donofrio; two sisters, Martha Guerrire and Tressie Ferrire; and a son-in-law, Mike Davanzo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville and 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church with Father DeLucia officiating.
