Struthers - Josephine M. Maloney, 85 of Struthers, died Wednesday afternoon at Valley Renaissance.

Josephine was born June 15, 1926 in Struthers, a daughter of Anthony and Mary Cuva Cuteri. She was raised in Campbell by her grandmother, Theresa Cuva and in 1948, at the time of her marriage to her husband, David, made their home in Struthers.

A graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, Josephine, a homemaker, at one time worked at Leo Dunn Men's Clothing Store in Campbell and later in the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Restaurant. Josephine enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo, and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers.

She leaves her husband David, whom she married August 28, 1948; one daughter, Diane (Mark) Davis of West Palm Beach, FL; one son, David (Margaret) Maloney Jr. of Struthers; three sisters, Theresa Cuteri and Dorothy Cuteri, both of Poland, and Katherine Brengrazzio of Canfield; two grandchildren, David (Mandy) Maloney and Jennifer Maloney; and one great-granddaughter, Fiona Claire.

Besides her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her grandmother Theresa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 11:00 AM at Christ Our King Parish at St. Nicholas Church with Fr. Bernard Bonnot officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.

Friends will be received Sunday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where a Prayer Service will be scheduled Monday at 10:15 AM.
