Josephine âa�A"Pepâa�A� Korody, 85 Struthers- Josephine Korody, 85, of 230 Wetmore Drive died Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mrs. Korody was born June 24, 1917 in Bessemer, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Martin and Helen Zalar Mazi. She came to Struthers as a young woman. She was a secretary for the Struthers High School for 26 years retiring in 1987. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, the Mahoning Valley Harmonica Club and the Mahoning Valley Button Box Club. Her husband Joseph William Korody whom she married January 16, 1941 died November 1, 1992. She leaves two sons, Joseph âa�A"Boeâa�A� (Trudy) Korody of Poland, John C. Korody at home and one brother, William Germek of Warren, Ohio. One daughter, Francine Korody, one son, Michael J. Korody and two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Mazi preceded her in death. The funeral mass will be Wednesday, 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. There will be no calling hours and the prayer service is private. Arrangements are by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
