Josephine A. Howell

Youngstown - Josephine A. Howell, 91, of Youngstown, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Maplecrest Nursing Home in Struthers. She was born Saturday, February 3, 1917 in Somerset, Pa., a daughter of Heinrich and Barbara Sedai Braesecker. She graduated from the Eldersridge Vocational High School in 1935, with the honors of perfect attendance her entire 4 years, honor roll and lettering in sports. After graduation, she moved to Pittsburgh where she worked as a cook for Stouffer's Restaurant for over 30 years. After her retirement, she resided in Youngstown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Flora Ditch, Ethel Rozek and Pauline Lorenzi; and four brothers, Arthur, Herbert, Carl and Ben Braeseker. She is sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in Iselin, Pa.
