Josephine Ann Amendolea

POLAND - Josephine Ann Amendolea, 87, died Feb. 23, 2015, at her residence, due to complications of Renal failure.
Mrs. Amendolea was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Youngstown, a daughter of Sabino and Antionette Bianco DeGise.
She was a 1946 graduate of The Rayen School and worked as a cashier for Youngstown Hospital for 31 years, retiring in 1978.
Josephine was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church.
She was past president of the Homemakers Extension and was a member of the Ursuline Sisters Company Evangela.
Josephine enjoyed crafting, stitching, and playing cards.
Her husband, Victor A. Amendolea, whom he married Sept. 24, 1949, died Aug. 6, 2009.
She leaves two daughters, Barbara (Herbert) Rickard of Poland, with whom she made her home and Vicki (Roland Sr.) Bundy of Girard; six grandchildren, Nicole (Adam) Algaier, Joel Rickard, Ryan (Joy Badiuk) Ross, Megan (Steven) Engster, Tiffany Hilston, and R.J. Bundy; five great-grandchildren, Seth Hilston, Aubrey Algaier, Gianna Mann, Addison Engster, and Gabrielrla Ross; and two sisters, Mary Sabol of Boardman and Rose Buzzacco of Youngstown.
Besides her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella Righetti and Nancy Nappy; and one brother, Anthony DeGise.
A prayer service will be held Thursday at 10:15 a.m. the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Catholic Church, with Fr. Joseph Fata officiating at 11 a.m.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
