Youngstown âa�" Joseph Stanislav, 83, of Youngstown, died Monday night at the Hospice House. Mr. Stanislav was born March 2, 1924 in Campbell, a son of Stephen and Anna Bodnovich Stanislav. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Stanislav worked for GF Business Equipment in several capacities retiring in 1985 after 43 years. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Mr. Stanislav enjoyed woodworking and was an exceptional woodworker. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, and his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Eleanor Kenash, whom he married May 31, 1947; three daughters, Carol (Dr. Paul) Sebest of Poland, Janet Stanislav of Macedonia, OH, Ruth (John) Straub of Poland; three sisters, Margaret Derin of Youngstown, Kathryn Rouan of Michigan, Loretta (James) Mislay of Youngstown; one brother, Andrew Stanislav of Boardman; and four granddaughters, Melissa (Ted) Nix, Lauren Sebest, Alison Straub and Stephanie Straub. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters; Mary Stanislav, Suzanne Whatley, Ann Riordan, Julia Dutko and Rita Stanislav; and two brothers, Stephen and Mikey Stanislav. Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 âa�" 8 p.m. at the Cunningham Becker Funeral Home, Poland where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. Internment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
