Joseph T. Rushwin Jr., 69, of Boardman, Ohio, died Sunday evening March 25, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman Campus.
He was born October 3, 1948 in Youngstown, OH, a son of Joseph and Ann (Rom) Rushwin Sr. and had been a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1967 graduate of Ursuline High School and received his Master's in Labor Relations from Youngstown State University. He had retired from General Motors after 39 years.
He was a member of St. Maron's Catholic Church in Youngstown and had belonged to the Mason's. He served in the National Guard.
His wife, the former Sue Okin is deceased.
He leaves two sons, Nicholas Rushwin of Boardman, and Eric Rushwin of Canfield; a sister, Beverly Rine of Cornersburg, and two grandchildren, Ezekial and Aubrianna Rushwin.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
Prayer services will be held 9:15 a.m. Monday April 2, 2018 at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maron's Catholic Church.
