Lowellville - Joseph A. Packner, 30 of Grayson, Ga, formerly of Lowellville, died August 28, 2015 in Detroit, MI. Joseph was born August 18, 1985 in Youngstown, son of Donald Sr. and Michele Rotunno Packner.
He was a 2004 graduate of Lowellville High School and was employed as a laborer for Avpol International LLC. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoyed dirt bikes, four wheelers and bowling, was full of life and always smiling. Joseph was a very loving and caring person who will never be forgotten.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his soul-mate, Hollie Marie; his son, Carter Nash Packner; his two brothers, Donald (Crystal) Packner Jr. of Poland and Lucas (Jamie Streb) Packner of Lowellville; maternal grandmother, Mary Ella Rotunno of New Middletown; three nephews, Landon, Riley and Brody Packner; step-niece, Gia Carlini; his Godparents, Victor Rotunno and Maureen Sabastian; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alfred Rotunno and his paternal grandparents, Nora and Walter Packner.
Prayer services will begin at 10:30am on Friday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill St. Lowellville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11am at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 131 E. Wood St. Lowellville, with the Rev. Fr. Christopher Luoni as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8pm at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville.
The family would like to thank the Detroit Receiving Hospital Burn Unit for the wonderful care and compassion shown during the past two weeks.
