Joseph J. Mullarkey, 56 Boardman- Joseph J. Mullarkey, 76, of 165 Harrow Lane, died Sunday evening at Beeghly Medical Center. Mr. Mullarkey was born March 27, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Mary Jane Rochford Mullarkey. He was a life-long area resident. In 1965 he served in the United States Army and in 1968 reenlisted in the United States Air force where he served as flight engineer. He later served in the Air force reserves. He was a Deputy for the Mahoning County Sheriffâa�a��s Department for 11 years. He had also worked for General Electric, Spray-a-Lawn and Gold Cross Livery. He was a member of St. Christine Catholic Church, Struthers VFW Post #3538 and the American Legion Post #472. Besides his wife the former Marta Moczadlo whom he married November 9, 1973 he leaves one daughter, Victoria (Sergio) Carano of Struthers; two sons, Joseph (Crystal) Mullarkey Jr. of Youngstown and Christopher Mullarkey at home; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth (Ronald) Payne of Dayton, Joann Reinthaler of Youngstown, Margaret Dick of Mercer, Pennsylvania and three grandchildren Dominic, Nicole and Sergio Carano Jr., and one grandson on the way, Joseph John Mullarkey, III. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 9:15 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 10:00 AM at St. Christine Church. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
