Struthers - Joseph M. Kisak, 78, died Tuesday evening, February 18, 2014.
Mr. Kisak was born March 12, 1935 in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Pacak Kisak.
He was a 1953 graduate of Struthers High School and served in the United States Air Force in Korea until 1958. Upon his return from the service, he attended Youngstown State University. Mr. Kisak first worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube as a shipper for several years and retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Struthers.
Mr. Kisak was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Struthers and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy A. Hvizdak, whom he married May 28, 1960; his daughter, Renee (Anthony) Mraulak of Struthers; grandson, Matthew Mraulak; two sisters, Maryann Ferguson of Hubbard and Julia Scholl of Enon Valley, PA; and two brothers, Michael Kisak of Youngstown and Peter (Faye) Kisak of Boardman.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
