Stantonville - Joseph Matthew Frketich, 88, of Stantonville, Tenn., formerly of Edinburg, Pa., died March 16, 2009 at his son's residence. Mr. Frketich was born February 16, 1921 in Youngstown. He lived in the Youngstown area until moving to Edinburg in 1956 and then relocated to Stantonville in 2006. He was a graduate of Campbell High School and worked for General Fireproofing in shipping for over 40 years. Mr. Frketich was a member of St. James the Apostle Church in New Bedford and belonged to the church's Men's Club. He was also a member of the CFU. His wife, the former Evelyn Hack, whom he married July 31, 1949, died January 6, 2004. He leaves his two sons, Stephen (Sally) Frketich of Stantonville, Tenn. and Michael (Anne Maria) Frketich of Round Hill, Va.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Frketich; sister, Ann DuBois; and three brothers, George, Carl, and Tony Frketich. Services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009, at 10:15 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville and 11 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville. Family and friends will be received Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Please visit
