Joseph Bonish, 82 Struthers- Joseph Bonish, 82, of 123 Katherine Street died Thursday morning at his residence. Mr. Bonish was born February 13, 1921 in Hillsville, Pennsylvania, a son of Gabriel and Anna Millecevich Bonish. He was raised in New Middletown and moved to Struthers in 1942. He was a baker for Angelo Bakery in Struthers, had worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube and Fowler Contracting before becoming self-employed as Bonish Trucking Service. He attended St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church and was former member of Struthers Business Association. His wife the former Veronica Liptak whom he married November 19, 1940 died May 31, 1987. He leaves two daughters, Joanne Bonish and Jane Vergallito both of Struthers; two sons, James and Jack Bonish also of Struthers; two brothers, Stanley Bonish of Campbell and Gabriel Bonish of New Middletown; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, one son, Joseph Bonish, Jr., five sisters, Mary Ragan, Rose Tokich Bacic, Sue Jerek, Anna Tama and Kay Bonish and two brothers, John and Mike Bonish preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 10:30 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
