Joseph J. Balasko

North Lima - Joseph J. Balasko, 81, died December 9, 2016 at Caprice Health Center.
Mr. Balasko was born February 19, 1935 in Poland, a son of Matto and Rose Rosemon Balasko. Raised in Poland, Joe lived in Boardman for a time before moving to North Lima in 1991. He was mainly a farmer, working on the family farm on Middletown Rd. He also worked as a dishwasher at Mahoning Valley Howard Johnson and worked at Leonard's Greenhouse.
Joe was of the Catholic faith and was a former member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. In his spare time, Joe loved to paint.
His wife, Edna May, whom he married Nov. 15, 1961, died in 2005.
Joe is survived by one sister, Pauline Jurich of Poland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Joe was preceded in death by siblings, Caroline Mattock, Anna White, Paul Balasko, and Mary Zarko.
A private service was held at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
