Jonathan Franklin Phipps

Jonathan Franklin Phipps, 21 Struthers- Jonathan Franklin Phipps, 21, of 747 5th Street passed away Saturday, July 16. Jonathan was born November 28, 1983 in Youngstown a son of Robert E. and Joann Burich Phipps. He lived in Youngstown before moving to Struthers in 1996. He played baseball for the Uptown Kiwanis and received the M.V.P. award. Jonathan enjoyed football and was a fan for various NFL teams, including the San Francisco 49âa�a��ers. He attended Taft Elementary, Struthers Middle School and Struthers High School. Besides his mother the former Joann Burich with whom he lived, he leaves one son, Nathan Phipps of Youngstown; a sister, Karlie Phipps at home; half-sister, Shannon Oâa�a��Connell of Cincinnati; half-brother, Bobby Phipps also of Cincinnati; Maternal grandmother, Mary Burich Arbie, several aunts and uncles and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Phipps, Grandparents John Burich, Louis Arbie, William Phipps, Marie Phipps North and Morley North. Funeral services will be Thursday, 9:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call today from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
