JOHN A. YURKO, SR âa�" 59 BOARDMAN âa�" There will be a memorial Mass Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church for John A. Yurko who passed away Thursday. Mr. Yurko was born December 17, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of John and Helen Dzurnak Yurko. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a veteran of the US Army. John was a sales and branch manager at the Handleman Company for 25 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Sharon McCurdy, whom he married July 28, 1973; a daughter ,Tracie at home and her fiancé Anthony; a son John (Kim) Yurko, Jr. of Boardman; and a granddaughter, Emily; a sister, Linda Krause of Chicago; and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly. He also left behind his dog, Lexi. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Jason Couch. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
