John William Stasko, 73 New Springfield- John William Stasko, 73, of 12733 Woodworth Rd., died Monday evening at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus. Mr. Stasko was born December 6, 1930 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, a son of John M. and Anna Dudas Stasko. He moved to Carrollton and then New Springfield as a young man. He was a 1947 graduate of South High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1948 until 1952, serving stateside in California as a Medical Corpsman during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Stasko was a Field Representative for U. S. Plywood formerly of Youngstown for 19 years. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana, an avid gardener, and an automobile enthusiest. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife the former, Rose Marie Hudzik whom he married September 29, 1956, he leaves two children, daughter, Caryl (Richard) Sprankle of New Middletown and son John M. Stasko of New Springfield and two grandchildren, Derrick and Kristin Sprankle. Funeral services will be Friday, 9:45 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana.
