John Anthony Skook, Jr., 51 Struthers- John Anthony Skook, Jr., 51, of 270 Como Street, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday morning. John was born July 8, 1953 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son of John Anthony, Sr., and Minnie Cinicola Skook. He was raised in Brownlee Woods and moved to Struthers in 1989. He was a 1971 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School was a distributor of fine spirits for Tri-County Distributors. John was a bartender and for many years worked at the Cactus, the Fireplace, and most recently at Irish Bobâa�a��s. John was an avid bowler, bowling for the Holiday Bowl, Monday Night Mixed Doubles League. He enjoyed golfing and was former manager and coach for the Struthers Girlsâa�a�� Softball League. One of his hobbies was woodworking and he shared this special talent by giving his pieces to those he loved. He was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. John will be sadly missed and will be remembered most by those who knew him, as a loving, generous and patient man. Besides his wife, the former Judy Minchin, whom he married July 22, 1989, he leaves one daughter, Halle Minchin-Skook at home; one sister, Rosalyn (Donald) Ramsey of Youngstown; one brother, Thomas (Cory) Skook of Boardman; six nieces, 5 nephews and one great-niece. Funeral services will be Thursday, 12:00 Noon at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 12:30 PM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
