John Francis Saletra

John Francis Saletra, 63 Poland- Services will be Monday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home and 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church for John F. Saletra, 63 who died last Monday. Mr. Saletra was born July 16, 1942 in Youngstown, a son of Stanley and Ann Panfil Saletra. He was raised in Youngstown and moved to Poland in 1974. He was a 1960 graduate of The Rayen School and majored in Civil Engineering at Youngstown State University. For 33 years he worked in the Fabricating Plant of General Motors. Mr. Saletra was a member of Holy Family Church, UAW Local # 1714, Knights of Columbus #4471, Poland, the National Association of Scale Modelers and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Saletra served in the National Guard from 1962 until 1967. Mr. Saletra was a devoted and loving father, who enjoyed spending time with his family, collecting trains and flying model airplanes. Besides his mother of Youngstown, Mr. Saletra leaves his daughter, Marla C. Saletra of Berlin Center; his son, John R. Saletra of Redondo Beach, California; and two sisters, Mary Ann (Chester) Dudzik of Youngstown and Suzanne (Ed) Kiersey of Cleveland. Mr. Saletra was preceded in death by his father.
