Poland - John Stanley Probst, Jr., 79 passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016, on the anniversary of his mother's death in 1982, at the Cleveland Clinic due to heart complications.

John affectionately known as Jack, was born on August 1, 1937 in Cleveland, a son of the late John "Stan" and Helen Chamer Probst. He was raised in East Liverpool and was a long time resident of Poland.

A 1955 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Jack attended both Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh and Bethany College in West Virginia and received his BA in Business. Jack was willing to try new activities such as snowboarding, bicycling, hot air ballooning, fly fishing, and snow skiing to name a few. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and YSU football. He enjoyed traveling and antique cars, but what he loved most was time spent with the company of friends and his close knit family where they gathered at his and Kay's home.

(Denise) Probst III of Boardman; his daughters, Kathyrn "Kappy" (Thomas) Bartholomew, Christiane Probst and Karen (William) Probst Holcomb all of Poland; grandchildren, John "JayJay", Jessica, Kayla, Ireland and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Tre and Tanner; and extended family, Di and Ed Smith, Melbourne Australia.
