Youngstown - John W. "Jack" Parry Sr., 64 of Youngstown, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at his residence with his family at his side after a courageous fight with cancer. Mr. Parry, Sr. was born Thursday, March 9, 1944 in Youngstown, a son of the Alfred and Elizabeth Spisak Parry. He was a 1963 graduate of North High School, and was a member of the Faith Community Church. Jack worked as a Drywall Finisher for Valley Acoustics retiring in 2003 after 45 years of drywall work. He was a member of the FOE #213 of Youngstown, Painters Local # 476, the Johnson Club of Hillsville, PA, and Papa Sports Club of Youngstown. The love of Jack's life was spending time with his family and friends, he enjoyed fishing in Florida, Pymatuning State Park and in Glen Arbor, Michigan. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking at the FOE 213, grilling, woodworking, and loved swimming. Jack is survived by his wife, the former Veronica "Helen" Iannucci, whom he married, October 2, 1965, four sons, John Parry, Jr. of Youngstown, Mathew (Kellie) Parry of Struthers, Dean (Renee) Parry of Canfield, and Bobby Parry of Youngstown; and one daughter, Rebecca Parry of Youngstown, two grandchildren, Courtney and Ryan. Two brothers, Richard (Lib) Parry of New Castle, and James (Helen) Parry of New Middletown, one sister, Betty Jane (George) Berdine of New Middletown, one Brother-in-law, Pasqual Iannucci of Youngstown, two Sisters-in-law, Flo Petrella, MI., Mary Jane Shushok of Lowellville, and one Uncle, Jack (Fran) Parry of Austintown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one nephew, Scott Rosensteel, three brothers in law, Frank Iannucci, Ronald Petrella, Joe Shushok, his mother and father in law, Sortino and Helen Iannucci and numerous aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at Faith Community Church 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gary Marcy officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery. Friends will be received 4-8:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 17 at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, and from 10:00 - 10:45 Wednesday at the church The family would like to thank all of the Doctors and Nurses at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Boardman Campus, and the staff of Hospice of the Valley.
