John âa�A"Jackâa�A� R. Oâa�a��Neill, 81 Boardman- John âa�A"Jackâa�A� R. Oâa�a��Neill, 81, died early Saturday morning at Hospice House in Boardman after an extended battle with throat cancer. Mr. Oâa�a��Neill was born January 12, 1926 in Youngstown, a son of Charles F. and Wilma J. Cearfosss Oâa�a��Neil. He was a life-long area resident. He attended East High School and graduated in 1944 from The Rayen School. In 1951, he received his engineering degree from Youngstown College. Mr. Oâa�a��Neill owned his own insurance agency until selling it in 1988. He also worked for Howard Hanna Real Estate and Uhler Kuchmaner Insurance Agency, retiring from both in 2004. He was a United States Army WWII veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant in the South Pacific from 1944 until 1946. Mr. Oâa�a��Neill was a member of St. Christine Church and the downtown Kiwanis Club. Mr. Oâa�a��Neill leaves a sister, Wilma Jean Zimmerman of Boardman; a brother, Joseph T. (Joan) Oâa�a��Neill of New Bedford, MA; eight nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William âa�A"Billâa�A� Oâa�a��Neil. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Christine Church Friday, May 18th at 10:00 AM. Arrangements are made by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of John R.
