John A. Molnar

Poland - John A. Molnar, 82 of Alverne Drive, died Monday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mr. Molnar was born December 23, 1923 in Poland Township, a son of John A. and Esther Kantor Molnar. Mr. Molnar was a 1942 graduate of Springfield High School and worked as a Tool & Die Maker for GF Business Equipment for 30 years and then for General Motors for 10 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of John Calvin-St. Paul United Church of Christ, in Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley Foreman Industrial Management Association. His wife the former Louise Ceci, whom he married June 14, 1952 died April 20, 2004. He leaves two daughters, Donna (Rick) Vargin of Struthers and Marlene (Tim) Williams of Stafford, VA; two sons, Dr. Ken (Rae) Molnar of Mansfield, and John (Teresa) Molnar, Jr. of Sagamore Hills, OH; one sister, Barbara Balla of Austintown; and nine grandchildren, Peter Vargin, Teresa Vargin, Anthony Molnar, Michael Molnar, Nicholas Molnar, Sydney Molnar, Amanda Williams, Cassandra Williams, and Alexis Williams. Besides his parents and his wife, Mr. Molnar was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Mazi, Julia Lasky, Elizabeth Herchik, Pearl Behne, and one brother, James Molnar. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10:00 AM at the John Calvin-St. Paul United Church of Christ with Rev. William Myers officiating, where family and friends may call from 9:00 - 9:45 AM. Interment will follow in the Green Haven Memorial Gardens, . Friends will be received Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
