John F. âa�A"Jackâa�A� McCaughey, 79 Poland- John F. âa�A"Jackâa�A� McCaughey, 79, of 7935 Lee Run Rd. died suddenly Saturday afternoon at his residence. Mr. McCaughey was born October 29, 1923, in Youngstown the son of the late John M. and Natalie Franklin McCaughey. He was a 1941 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and a graduate of Youngstown College, earning a B.S. in Accounting. He was a life long area resident. A World War II U.S. Army Veteran, he served in the European Theater. He worked for Aero-Rad and Standard Slag, retiring as the Assistant controller in 1989, after over 40 years of service. Mr. McCaughey was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church, and the Poland Lodge #766 F&AM, where he was honored as a 50 year member. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time with and attending his grandchildrenâa�a��s many functions. A fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns, he enjoyed sports. Besides his wife the former Mary Brownlee, whom he married April 25, 1953, he leaves two daughters: Jean and son-in-law Frank Nisenboum of Mayfield Heights; Moira and son-in-law Marvin Fair, Jr. of Canfield; a son John Mark of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister: Jane Graham of Zephyr Hills, FL; and three grandchildren: William and Jonathan Nisenboum of Mayfield Heights and Rachelle Fair of Canfield. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday at the Cunningham- Becker Funeral Home, Poland, Friends may call Tuesday, from 4 âa�" 7 PM, and again on Wednesday, from 9:30 âa�" 10:15 AM.
