John P. Korchnak

Boardman - John P. Korchnak, 81, died April 27, 2018 at Hospice House.  Mr. Korchnak was born August 29, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of John and Elizabeth Zubel Korchnak.

He was graduate of  Woodrow Wilson High School.  John worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube (LTV) for 35 years.  He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows at St. Matthias and was involved with the Knights of the Columbus.  John loved the beach and was an avid movie buff.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Eberhart of Burlington, WA; one son, Thomas Korchnak of Boardman; one brother, Joseph (Marie) Korchnak of Campbell; and his pride and joy his grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Colbert of Washington, Brittny Eberhart of Columbus, Hollie (Jeff) Ethier of Columbus, and Daniel Eberhart of Florida.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Edward, and George.

A memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Sorrows at St. Matthias.
