John C. Gugliotti

d. December 19, 2004

John C. Gugliotti, 61 Struthers- John C. Gugliotti, 61, of Struthers, quietly slipped from our hands into Godâaas with his loving family beside him on Sunday morning, Dec. 19 at the Cleveland Clinic. John the son of Guy and Sara Gugliotti, was born January 2, 1938 in Struthers. He will be sadly missed by his wife Joan DOrazio Gugliotti, whom he married on April 23, 1966; his children, John (Anna) Gugliotti of Wheaton, IL, Dr. David Gugliotti of Cleveland, Nicole Gugliotti of Columbus; granddaughter, Alessandra of Weaton, IL; four brothers, Al of Poland, Joe of Austintown, Jim of Youngstown, and Guy of Poland; a sister, Carmel of San Marcos, CA; and many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle, not to mention all the friends he had made over his lifetime. John was a 1955 graduate of Struthers High School and served on the reunion committee, a member of Saint Luke Church in Boardman and its Menâaas Club. He served in the United States Army and retired from LTV Steel, where he had worked in Rod and Wire, Briar Hill and Instrument Repair. He went on to work at RMI in Niles where he then retired. An avid gardener, he enjoyed cooking and baking, especially pizza and pizzelles, and sharing it with others. He had a great sense of humor and friendship that will be greatly missed by all his friends and loved ones. But most of all he will be remembered for his love of God, his sense of family; and how he loved them all and was loved in return. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Thursday 9:30AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:00AM at Saint Luke Church. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
