Youngstown - John L. Grim, 65, of Youngstown, died September 9, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mr. Grim was born October 9, 1948 in Tunnelton, WV, a son of Truman and Janith Parsons Grimm.
John was a hard worker, having worked as a fork lift operator at Indalex for 43 years.
He was a kind-hearted man who enjoyed his family and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, the former, Patricia Shaffer, whom he married Nov. 22, 1991; seven children, John (Lori) Grim of Edinburg, Marian (Joe) Marriotti of Youngstown, Truman (Fiancé Shannon) Grim of Youngstown, Corey (Melissa) Kosciuszko of Jacksonville, Megan Kosciuszko of Boardman, James Grim of Youngstown, and Kristy Grim of Youngstown; six grandchildren, Joseph, Shelby, Brittany, McKenzie, Caleb, and Kaley; two sisters, Janice (Joe) Hubert of New Middletown and Mary (Jack) Maravola of Boardman; one sister-in-law, Brenda Grim of North Jackson; and his previous wife, Karen L. Grim.
Besides his parents John was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Matthews; and one brother, Ralph Grim.
Per John's request there will be no calling hours or services.
Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
