John P. Fallat, 87 Austintown- John P. Fallat, 87, formerly of Boardman, died Saturday afternoon at the Austinwoods Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Fallat was born March 6, 1915 in Struthers, to Andrew and Veronica Nemcik Fallat. A 1934 graduate of Struthers High School, he has been a lifelong area resident. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a Staff Sargeant in the European Theater. An employee of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co., he worked on the Open Hearth, retiring in 1976, after 35 years of service. A former member of the Struthers A.C. Club, he was also a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, and the St. Luke Happy Hearts. Besides his wife the former Helen Ondra Clark, whom he married October 11, 1947, he is survived by a daughter: Beverly Ann (Henry) Landgraff of Boardman; one sister: Kay Fallat; two brothers: George and Martin Fallat all of Struthers; five grandchildren; and eleven great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother: Andrew; and two sisters: Mary Spirko; and Margaret Hegedus. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:OO AM, Wednesday, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Boardman. Friends may call Tuesday, 5-8 PM at the Davidson- Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, and again on Wednesday, where a prayer service will be held at 9:15 AM.
