John "Harry" Dyke Youngstown- Mr. Dyke was born Jan.23,1927 in Youngstown,OH the son of Harry J. and Nell (Kearns) Dyke and lived in the area all his life. After enlisting in the U.S.Coast Guard in late 1944 he graduated from,Ursuline High School in absentia the following June. Upon discharge he attended Miami U.(Ohio) ~Youngstown College now YSU "Harry" was a Catholic and a member of St.Luke church on South ave.in Boardman. For over 40 yrs. he was employed by local auto dealers in various capacities and retired from Youngstown Buick in 1989.Later he drove for Gold Cross Limousine Service for 10 years. A Cleveland Indians fan all his life he also enjoyed golf and bowling having been a member of the Mopar Industrial League for over 50 yrs. Surviving him are his grandson Matthew Paolone and his son-in-law Tony Paolone of Poland and a niece,Patricia Todd of East Palestine. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Karen E.Paolone,grandsons Anthony and Michael Paolone,a sister Erma Dishong and nieces Nancy Semon and June L.Ewing. There will be no calling hours or services at the request of the deceased and memorial gifts offered to the chariy of ones choice.
