John B. Cunningham, 68 Poland- John B. Cunningham, 68, died Monday evening at his residence. Mr. Cunningham was born in Barberton, Ohio September 14, 1935, a son of John and Francis Frantz Cunningham. He was a 1954 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and attended the University of Cincinnati for 2 years. He was Claims Manager for Westfield Insurance Companies for 32 years, before retiring in 1994. Mr. Cunningham was a Poland Village Councilman from 1965-1974. He was Past President of both the Youngstown Claims Association and the Youngstown Claims Manager Council. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion in Maderia Beach, Florida. He was also a member of the Youngstown Baptist Church in Austintown. Mr. Cunningham was a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He leaves his wife, the former Sally Steen, whom he married June 29, 1957;, three daughters, Kim (Chris) Tiberio of Boardman, Kellie (Jeff) Sipos of Redington Shores, FL, and Karrie (Jerry) Plaskett of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; one sister, Joanne (Jack) Barns of Poland; nine grandchildren, Shawn, Gregory and Jonathan Tiberio; Emily, Olivia, Madeline, and Mollie Sipos; Joshua John (Melissa) Cunningham and Kayla Plaskett; and a step-mother, Evelyn Cunningham of Poland. A memorial service will be held Friday 11 AM at the Youngstown Baptist Church. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
