YOUNGSTOWN - John R. "Bob" Cramer, 74, died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
John, affectionatey known as Bob, was born May 17, 1940, in Johnstown, Pa., a son of the late John and Mary Smith Cramer. He and his family moved to Austintown when Bob was a child. He later moved to Poland in 1973, then to Youngstown in 1991.
Bob was a 1958 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and attended Kent State University. He worked as a long distance truck driver for CCC for many years and then for Yellow Freight, retiring in 2005.
In his spare time, Bob loved watching sports and enjoyed cheering for the Cleveland sports teams. He was formerly active in the Poland Baseball Association, serving as its president from 1981 to 1982, and was inducted into the Poland Baseball Hall of Fame.
Bob also loved vacationing in Hilton Head with his family and enjoyed his companionship from his springer spaniels, Brinkly and Peyton, and his grand puppies, Hogan and Brutus.
He leaves his wife, the former Judy Williams, whom he married May 21, 1960; three children, Bobbi Cramer of Youngstown, Brian (Lisa) Cramer of Marietta, Ga., and Amy (Richard II) Peduzzi of Poland; sister Elaine (Ron) Mihalick of Austintown; one grandchild, Domnise Muldrow of Marietta; nephew Mark Mihalick; and two nieces, Cheri Manners and Patty Wheeler.
There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
