John Boyd Bacic

John Boyd Bacic, 89 Kansas- John Boyd Bacic, 89, of Lenexa Kansas, formerly of Struthers died early Friday morning at Overland Park Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Mr. Bacic was born March 7, 1914 in Midland, Pennsylvania a son of Joseph and Maria Millich Bacic. He lived in Struthers most of his life until moving to Kansas in 1996. He was an electrician for I.B.E.W. Local #64 where he was a charter member of the union. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp, a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Struthers and Holy Cross Catholic Church in Overland Park. For many years he volunteered his service doing the electrical work for the St. Nicholas Festival. He was an avid dancer. His wife the former Mildred Elizabeth âa�A"Millieâa�A� Vlah whom he married September 3, 1938 died January 18. 1993. He leaves one daughter, Judy (Bud) McCreary of Columbus; two sons, Jon Bacic of Canton and Robert (Donna) Bacic of Lenexa, Kansas; two sisters, Sophie Schnell of Struthers and Ann Ketish of Finleyville, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. One sister Millie Dill and two brothers William and Richard Bacic preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 10:o0 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
