John Al Ague,77 Struthers-John Al Ague,77, of 567 9th St. died Saturday evening at Maplecrest Nursing Home. Mr. Ague was born Youngstown January 17,1929, a son of Dewey and Virginia McCurdy Ague. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a arcwelder for LTV Steel and also worked as a truck driver for Franks Transport for cement powder. He was a member of the Austintown VFW Post #4237 and a former member of the Youngstown post. He was awarded the 35 year pin from LTV Steel. He enjoyed traveling across the United States. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He leaves his wife, the former, Gwendolyn Hartman, whom he married October 16,1999; two daughters, Anna Marie (Richard) Webster of Struthers and Shirley Ann (William) Miller of Youngstown three sons, Clifford D. Ague of Liberty, John Ague of Youngstown, and Michael Ague of Austintown; two step-daughters, Mary Davis of Poland and Barbara Plute of Struthers; two step-sons, Earl Webster of Youngstown and Forest Webster of Chillicothe,OH; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Marie Nastasy; two brothers, William H. and Leroy Ague. There will be no calling hours or services.
