Youngstown - Johanna Benzenhoefer, 69, passed away January 1, 2015 at her residence after a long battle with cancer, where she was cancer free for five years.
Mrs. Benzenhoefer was born August 7, 1945 in Llansaint, South Wales, U.K., a daughter of Joseph J. "Pop" Dravecsky and Millicent Lloyd.
She was a 1963 graduate of Ursuline High School and worked at Giant Eagle, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed playing cards, feeding birds, tending to her flowers, traveling, and playing computer games.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald, who she married, June 28, 1969; two sons, Michael (Shannon) Benzenhoefer of Struthers and Ronnie (Debbie) Benzenhoefer of Struthers; one daughter, BeckyJo Benzenhoefer of Austintown; five grandchildren, Felicia, Andrew, Jena, Ashley, and Marisa ; and one great-grandson, Vinnie.
Besides her parents, Johanna was preceded in death by one sister, Ina Beth Myers.
Services will be held at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 247 N. Main St., Poland, Monday at 7:00 PM. Interment will be at Petersburg Cemetery at a later date.
Friends and family will be received Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the funeral home.
