Struthers - Jodi A. Jorgensen, 54, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, April 4, 2024.
Jodi was born June 20, 1969 in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Everett and Evelyn (O'Hara) McCreary.
She graduated from Struthers High School in 1987. In 1991, she graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and from Kent State University with a master’s degree in nursing in 1993. After graduating from Kent State University, Jodi became an instructor at the university, teaching nursing courses for several years. Jodi then started working as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. In 2002, she went to Maxim Healthcare Services in Boardman before going to Anthem Wellpoint Senior Advantage for Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
Jodi was a member of Poland Village Baptist Church and the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies and the Odd Fellows in Canfield.
She was a devoted mother, sister, and a friend to all. Jodi enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader.
Jodi is survived by her daughter, Brandi Jo Jorgensen of Struthers, OH; a brother, James A. (Nancy) McCreary of Wooster, OH; a half-sister, Debri Fynes of PA; and her former husband, David A. Stebnicki of Struthers, OH.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring Street in Struthers. There will be a funeral service to follow on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Ethridge officiating. Interment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
