Campbell - Joanne Flannery, 76, of Piccadilly Street, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman.
Mrs. Flannery was born April 5, 1933 in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles and Julia Reagan Boughner.
She was a 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Xenia, Ohio. Mrs. Flannery loved playing cards, crocheting, cooking, traveling to Florida, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Flannery was a former member of Holy Family Church in Poland.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Robert Flannery, whom she married October 24, 1953, a daughter, Jackie (Butch) Brown of New Middletown; a son, John Flannery of Boardman; one son-in-law, Jerry Varga of Campbell; nine grandchildren, Stacie (Jimmy) Kavouras, Tiffany (Raul II) Ortiz, Stephanie (Bob) Benson, Jerry (Jessica) Varga, Brent (Ashley McAllister) Weston, Jessie (Nick) Aquisto, Jay Weston, Curtis Brown, and Cory Flannery; nine great-grandchildren; Jerry Varga, Alexis Kavouras, Jordan Varga, Sophia Kavouras, Oliver Ortiz, Andonia Kavouras, Elliana Benson, Rileigh Aquisto, and Nicholas Aquisto; three sisters, Rita (Philip) DeCapito of Champion, Peggy Leonard of Austintown, and Wanda Wilson of Niles; and two brothers, Fred "Butch" (Arlene) Boughner of Cortland and Donald (Sue) Boughner, of McDonald
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Flannery; a daughter, Sherrie Varga; two sisters, Frances Fecko and Irene Berard.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
