Joann Marie (Dilanni) McHugh

Poland - Joann Marie McHugh, 78, of Poland, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Hampton Woods.
Joann was born September 30, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of Louis and Mary Donatelli DiIanni.
A 1956 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Joann worked as a Quality Inspector for Packard Electric for over 30 years. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Poland.
Joann played in a monthly card game with the girls she worked with from Packard Electric. She enjoyed antiques and did a lot of the local shows in the area. Joann also enjoyed listening to music, reading, word puzzles, and watching her favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. She especially loved cooking, baking, and hosting her family for the holidays.
As a child, Joann spent her summer vacations with her grandparents in Ocean City, NJ and she carried on the tradition spending her summers at Ocean City with her two aunts, Elizabeth and Mary Impagliazzo up until her health declined. Another favorite summer past time that Joann enjoyed well into her 60's was water skiing.
Joann's husband, Bill McHugh, whom she married December 29, 1956 died June 24, 1991. She leaves her mother, Mary of Poland; one daughter, Deborah (Jeff) Schultz of Poland; one son, Patrick McHugh of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Patrick Fontaine of Jacksonville, FL, and Eric Schultz of Columbus; one brother, Claude (Elaine) DiIanni of Boardman; and her aunts, Elizabeth and Mary Impagliazzo of Ocean City, NJ.
In addition to her father and husband, Joann was preceded in death by her son, William McHugh; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Helen McHugh; sister, Mary Louise Perry; and her brother, Louis DiIanni, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Poland with Msgr. William Connell officiating. Friends will be received Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the church.
