Joan Mae Peplow

Joan Mae Peplow, 80 Struthers- Joan Mae Peplow, 80, of Sexton Street, died Wednesday morning at her residence. Joan was born May 17, 1926 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, a daughter of August and Clara Neubauer Ahrens. She came to Struthers at the age of two and was a life-long resident of Struthers. She was a 1945 graduate of Struthers High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers. Joan leaves her husband William J. Peplow whom she married February 21, 1948; one sister, Arvella Harris of Boardman; one daughter-in-law, Christine Peplow of Lake Milton; three grandchildren, Kelly Peplow of Newton Falls, Brett and wife Cari Peplow of Newport News, Virginia, and Ahren Peplow of Lake Milton; and two great-grandchildren, Christian Facemire of Newton Falls and Victoria Jade Peplow of Newport News, Virginia. Besides her parents, Joan was preceded in death by two sons, William A. Peplow and Thomas Peplow and one sister, Adelaide Lapham. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home.
