Struthers - Jim G. Burrell, 50, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2015 at his home.
Jim was born April 3, 1965 in Youngstown, a son of William and Mary Burrell.
He was a 1983 graduate of Springfield Local High School and attended Ohio State University. Jim worked as a computer programmer and wire machine operator for Youngstown Tool & Die for the last 22 years.
Jim's hobbies included collecting comic books, reading, especially novels by Dean Koontz and Stephen King, enjoying the outdoors and primitive camping, playing video games, and working on the computer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Frances A. Morrow, whom he married May 31, 1986; two sons, Andrew (Nichole) Burrell of Canton, Alexander (Kaitlyn Sefcik) Burrell of Hubbard; daughter, Amber (Scott Brown) Burrell of Hubbard; brother, John Burrell; four grandchildren, Michael, Lexi, Duane "Grandbuddy" and Stella; step-mother, Mary Jane Burrell of New Springfield; brother-in-law, Tom McCutcheon of Poland; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Leslie McCutcheon; and two brothers, Joey and Andrew Burrell.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., where family and friends will be received on Monday from 4-5:45 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
