Jerome J. Popovich

Jerome J. Popovich 73, Struthers-Jerome Popovich, 73, of 669 Fifth St. died Saturday morning at his residence. Mr. Popovich was born December 13,1928 in Struthers, a son of George W. and Helen Hamrock Popovich. He was a 1946 graduate of Struthers High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a braider at Republic Hose in Youngstown, retiring in 1987, after 25 years. Mr. Popovich was a former member of Saint Nicholas Church. He leaves his companion Myrtle Lewis; one sister, Mary Jacubec of Boardman; and a brother George Popovich of Campbell. Four sisters, Katherine Sweder, Helen McFadden, Cecilia Stropich, and Dorothy Popovich; and one brother, Joseph Popovich preceded him in death. There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are being handled by The Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
