Boardman

Boardman - Jeffrey Richard Wilding, 62, died suddenly Friday evening, January 9, 2025, at Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital surrounded by his family. 

Jeffrey was born July 17, 1962 in Youngstown, Ohio, son of the late Richard T. and Tina M. (Tondy) Wilding.

He graduated from Boardman High School and was a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley. 

Jeffrey worked as a truck driver for Tri County Distributors for over 15 years where he belonged to Teamsters Local 377. He later went to Bernard Daniels in Canfield for several years before retiring. 

He was a devoted father and enjoyed spending time with his son, Joshua. Jeffrey was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed playing baseball years ago for several Youngstown leagues and loved the game. In his free time, he loved listening to rock music, working in his yard, caring for animals, especially, his dog, BoBo. 

Jeffrey is survived by his son, Joshua R. Wilding of Boardman; a brother, Michael J. (Maggie Miller) Wilding of Canton, GA; two sisters, Tracey L. Wilding of Akron, OH and Barbara (Sam) Zangmeister of Carroll, OH; five nephews, Daniel Zupko, Evan Zupko, Travis Wilding, Samuel Zangmeister and Nathan Zangmeister; and his uncle and aunt, Warren "Buggs" and Patti Wilding of Boardman. 

Per Jeffrey's request, there will be a memorial service celebrating Jeffrey's life at a later date. There are no calling hours. 

The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to New Lease on Life Pet Rescue, 2773 E. Midlothian Blvd, Struthers, OH 44471 in memory of Jeffrey. 

Arrangements are being handled by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring Street in Struthers.
