AKRON âa�" Jeffrey S. Guterba, 53, of 2330 Smith Rd., died Wednesday morning at Akron General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Guterba was born on November 12, 1953 in Youngstown, a son of Howard J. and Mary D. Gough Guterba. He was raised in Poland and was a life long area resident. He graduated from the Poland Seminary High School in 1971 and the Culinary Institute of America of Hyde Park, New York in 1974. He formerly worked as a chef for the Youngstown Country Club, a former supervisor with the Youngstown Hospital Association Food Services, and worked at several other area restaurants. He loved cooking and was an avid sports fan. He leaves one daughter, Melissa Guterba of Canfield; two sisters, Becky Rush of Poland and Mary Ann Robinson of Poland; one brother, James (Linda) Guterba of Canfield; and one foster sister, Michelle Mulligan of Kinsman. Besides his parents, Mr. Guterba was preceded in death by two infant siblings, and his foster brother, Danny Kraft. Family and friends will be received Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Park Cemetery.
