Lowellville - Jeanett M. Ricchiuti, 82, of Lowellville, died Friday, December 25, 2009 at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana.
Miss Ricchiuti was born April 14, 1927 in Campbell, a daughter of Shefano and Lucia Carano Ricchiuti.
She was a 1945 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Miss Ricchiuti served our country in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. She served at Ft. Sheridan, Ill. and in Japan. She was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Miss Ricchiuti worked as an assistant manager for Master Craft Dry Cleaning Company for over 30 years in Highland Park, Illinois. She was a member of the 1418 Club.
She is survived by two nieces, Lucille Campana of Struthers and Mary Ann Born of Uniontown, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Philomena Polumbo and Mary Sacomani; a brother, Peter Ricchiuti; and 4 infant brothers and sisters.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 2, 2009 at 10:00 at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Avenue in Youngstown with Fr. Regis Heuschkel officiating.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
