Jean Luther

Poland - Jean Luther, 80, of Poland, died January 25, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Luther was born March 1, 1930 in Chelsea, London, England, a daughter of George and Eliza Jobbins Hurley. She came to the United States in early twenties and became a citizen in 1968.

Mrs. Luther was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, bingo, and vacationing and traveling to Florida, Las Vegas, and overseas.

Her husband, William P. Luther, whom she married February 11, 1961, died April 3, 2001. She leaves two daughters, Renee (Lawrence) Coonfare and Kimberly (Keith) Erhardt, both of Poland; two grandsons, Anthony Coonfare and Austin Erhardt; and her sister, Joyce Billie of Las Vegas.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Irene Vowels, Lylie Hurley, Lill David, and an infant sister; and two brothers, Thomas and George Hurley.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Pastor Reid Lamport officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
