Jean L. Solvesky Kratzer

Jean L. Solvesky Kratzer, 77 Youngstown- Jean L. Solvesky Kratzer, 77, of 2308 E. Midlothian Blvd., died Saturday evening at Forum Health Northside Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Jean was born October 2, 1928 in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Desidero and Matilda Ostopf Berton. She was raised in Petersburg, Ohio and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Richard Kratzer whom she married March 7, 1977; one daughter, Charlotte (Dave) Hoxworth with whom she made her home; two sons, Gary (Laraine) Solvesky of Poland and Joe (Patty) Solvesky of New Middletown; one sister, Eleanor Matsos of Lynchberg, Virginia; two brothers, Clarence (Laura) Berton of Petersburg and Charlie (Beth) Berton of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; ten grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by two sons, Ronny and Shawn Solvesky, one sister, Naomi Hamm and one brother Walter Berton. A private Memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home.
