CINCINNATI - Jean Eloise King, 94, formerly of Boardman, died on Monday at the Cottingham Nursing Home in Cincinnati.
She was born in Youngstown on April 14, 1920, a daughter of the late William and Ordella Hughes Ford.
She was a 1938 graduate of South High School and had also attended Youngstown State University.
She was a self-employed dance instructor and piano teacher and was a member of the Boardman United Methodist Church.
Jean married Kenneth M. King on Aug. 22, 1941, and they were married for 62 years, until his passing on March 20, 2004.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, William H. Ford Jr.
Jean leaves her four children and their spouses, Jeannine and Dennis Hodge of Boardman, Pam and Larry Prokop of West Chester, David King of St. Joseph, Mich., and Dianne King of Worthington; grandchildren Tara (Mike) Kastura, Amanda (Rick) Flak and David (Ashley) Hodge; great-grandchildren Noah and Micah Hodge, Sagan Flak and Sophie Kastura; her brother-in-law, Charles King; as well as a special friend, Carol (Dale) Pauly of West Chester.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. Boardman, with the Rev. Pamela Buzalka officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
