New Middletown - Jean L. Conrad, 92, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025 at the Hospice House.
She was born February 1, 1932 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Maust) Lenz. She graduated from Boardman High School in 1950 and worked in loan processing for Home Mortgage Company and as an office secretary for Dr. Yaroni for a few years.
She had a love for gardening, where she nurtured beauty and life with her green thumb. She was a gifted needlework artist, creating intricate and cherished pieces that reflected her creativity and patience. Her appreciation for nature was evident in the way she found peace and inspiration in the outdoors. An avid reader, she delighted in exploring new worlds through books, always seeking knowledge and adventure .
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Rick (Janet) Williams of Rogers, Pamela Goddard of Berlin Center, Felicia Williams of Flagler Beach, FL, and Cynthia Sherrill of Douglasville, GA; and her nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ervin Conrad; and her siblings, Marian Louise Snavely and Richard Edward Lenz.
Private services were held and she was laid to rest with her husband at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the doctors and staff of Windsor Assisted Living and the Hospice House for their compassionate care of Jean in her time of need.
